I am going to be living off of coffee and skittles for the next 8 hours.

2012

This New Year will be like a baptism.

Cleaning myself of all the toxic waste that has surrounded me and starting a new with my mom, dad and sister.

I have never needed the New Year like I do now.

2012 I welcome you with open arms.

Love,

Alex

Quick Update on Life.

Hey All,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a proper update but life has been overwhelming. Tons of stuff going on but here’s an update:

My grandma had her last chemotherapy sessions yesterday! I went with her, my grandpa and my mom and was able to see what chemo really is for myself. I took pictures, hung out etc etc. So that’s the end of chemo but not the end of this very intense process.

I went with her to a doctors apt this week where the discussion of radiation was had. At the end of the appointment she made the decision to have radiation which means starting in January she will be going to radiation everyday, for 5 weeks. Kind of sucky news but its all about getting better in the long run.

So that is a brief little update.

Until next time.

Outties,

-Alex

“Music is my boyfriend”

If you know me, you know I have a thing for pop culture. I am usually up to date on all the celeb gossip, current music, scandals, trends etc etc. With that in mind, I of course visit all of Perez Hilton’s sites religiously. I don’t care what anyone says about him; that man has a love of music that I totally can relate to. He loves finding unknown artist and blowing them up, spreading their work to the mass and letting them be heard. Perez has these concerts called One Night in.. [fill in State] and I entered the contest to win tickets to the concert here in NYC. I actually won tickets to the LA show but they told me the day before and there was NO way I was going to find a cheap flight in 24 hours BUT it’s okay because I won tickets for the NYC show too! So, tonight I went to Perez Hilton’s “One Night in New York City” with a friend and had an outstanding time. The last four hours have been spent jamming to Karmin, Iggy Azalea, Boys II Men, Mary J Blige, Anjulie and a bunch of awesome DJ’s but most import DJ of the night had to have been DJ. Pauly D.  I have officially fist pumped with Pauly D. Number 754 of my Bucket list..CHECK.

I danced non stop, took pictures like I was the paps, chatted up with my friend and sang like my ass was up on that stage. Let me just saw, I am blessed to have parents who appreciate all types of music, so I of course GEEKED out when Boys II Men came on because that’s music I listened to growing up [thanks mama!] After 20 years of being in the industry, those men still got it!! Panties were dropping and bras were hitting the stage. They are THAT great. I was going full on eyes closed, clutching my chest and singing…NO SHAME.

I loved every second of it, granted we were standing for four hours but I was smart and wore flats just in case. My feet would have been barking had I worn heels!

Good music was heard, great dancing took place and it was all for an amazing cause. So overall GOOD TIMES.

Perez just light a fire in me…now I just want to go to concerts and listen to really fantastic music and dance dance dance.

Ps. If you haven’t heard of Iggy Azalea check her out, she was sick and she’s an Aussie which makes her cool already. Actually check out everyone because they were all on point! Also, please check the GLSEN website which is the fantastic organization all proceeds from tonights concert went to. There are people out there doing admirable work.

Free on the 16th? Come to this event!

If you are in the NYC area on the 16th of this month, are 21+ and want to have an AMAZING night then get your butt to the Canal Room for the Gumbo Pop Showcase and Dance party.

Nadine Coyle from Girls Aloud, Neon Hitch [internet sensation. check out her Gucci Gucci cover..it’s better than the original!] and Chris Salvatore are all going to be there performing. After it becomes a dance party. Gumbo is famous for throwing amazing parties!

Come down and check it out!
